I am 31, and have been internet dating my boyfriend, J, for a year. I am developing deep feelings for him, but hold an inkling that he is a sexually repressed queer. I do not want to finish up falling in love with him, marrying – having children – only to find out that, although he may have loved me, we never truly shared a sexual attraction.
Despite his tender and affectionate nature, I hold never felt him to be sexually attracted to me. I often initiate sex (and am often ignored). In previous relationships, I have found myself fending off consistent unwanted advances, and any move on my part would have been taken up. When we do have sex he turns the lights off, and it’s always just before we depart to sleep.
When I raised the idea that he might not be sexually attracted to me, he flipped out, saying I lacked tact. He mentioned early on that he separates “sexual desire” or “sex” from “emotional connection”, which left me aghast: the feeling of entity in love, for me, is deeply bound up with sexual and sentimental intimacy. I am very troubled and need to recognize if he wants me.

So I have been with my boyfriend for about two years now. When we first got together everything was wonderful. After awhile though we began arguing about small things. Mainly because he never paid attention to me. He never checks me out when I’m getting dressed, he never initiates sex with me, never performs oral sex on me, etc. He says he loves me but I have always felt he was just interested in something else. After this long I have finally gotten him to basically admit to creature bisexual. I can accept that but if he is gay then this relationship is going nowhere. I really love him a lot but I feel it is unfair to the both of us of he isn’t being completely sincere with me. Oh and he has done a lot of prison moment.
