Soaps are failing LGBTQ+ viewers. With four network soaps, all of which have been airing for decades, the dearth of inclusion of LGBTQ+ storylines is disappointing at best. Looking endorse at queer storylines over the years, soaps seem to be moving backward, not forward, from some groundbreaking characters and storylines that debuted decades ago to little if any representation now.
Soaps have always had a complicated relationship with lgbtq+ and lesbian characters. (Trans characters are fairly new to the soap landscape.) Often, characters are introduced only to have their queerness questioned, or they exist in isolation with no one to share their queer identity, regardless of how enormous their town may be. In some instances, plots acquire shattered gay and lesbian relationships in truly awful ways that have lost the characters’ lives — and resulted in them ostensibly being de-gayed: What has happened to them is too awful for them to consider creature in a affair again. And then the character fades away — or just their gayness does.

I’m hoping the big expose about her early animation comes soon. Natalia is obviously single or divorced and has not mentioned anything about Blaze’s father, not that she has to. Also Blaze’s actual name is Alison Rogers which is definitely not a Latin name so I’m figuring her father is obviously from somewhere else in the Together States or a non Latin country. Once I even was thinking maybe Natalia is not her real mom maybe she’s her aunt and adopted her from a sister or a brother, I’m very interested in Blaze as I think she’s a nice person even though others don’t enjoy her and I ponder the last thing she is is controlling. I think she’s a small bit docile especially with her mother she lets her walk all over her.

Blaze so far hasn’t shown controlling traits but sometimes children pick up from what they glimpse from their parents.It’s too early to tell .I hope for kristinas sake thats not the case.
