Santa Barbara, CA — The highly anticipated 2024 Pacific Celebration Festival is almost here, and this Saturday, August 24th, Chase Palm Park Field will transform into a vibrant hub of celebration from 11 am to 7 pm. This year’s festival, themed “United in Pride,” is all about coming together to celebrate diversity, inclusivity, and the control of community.

Festival Highlights:

  • New & Exciting Events: The diurnal kicks off at 11:00 am with a ground blessing, welcome remarks from the new Executive Director, Julio Roman, closely followed by the first-ever Celebration Pet Parade — a heartwarming march of our furry friends in front of the main stage. Also new this year is a Community Painting Event, where attendees can create mini works of art to take house, leave at the festival, or trade with others.
  • Live Entertainment: The festival will feature live performances throughout the day, culminating in spectacular shows by dual headliners: The Gurls, a sensational trans pop organization, and Jessica Wild, a fierce queen from RuPaul’s Drag Race.

    The Pacific Pride Foundation's Pacific Pride Festival is free to the public and attracts a diverse crowd of nearly 4,000 lesbian, same-sex attracted, bisexual, transgender, gender non-conforming (LGBTQ+) and ally supporters and their families from the Central and South Coast. The all-day event in August features a line-up of live fun, exhibitors, local diet, informative non-profits, activities, and community member support.

    History of the Pacific Pride Foundation

    Pacific Parade Foundation (PPF) began in 1976 as a Drug and Alcohol Abuse Counseling and Referral center for Gay men and Lesbians. At that time the organization was called Western Addiction Services Program (WASP), and also offered a newsletter called The Bulletin, which is still in publication as their monthly eBulletin.

    Pacific Pride Festival will take place on Saturday the 24th August 2024 at Chase Palm Park, Santa Barbara.

    With more than 30 community organisations and thousands of community members coming together, the Pacific Pride Festival will movie areas focused on the Arts, Outdoors, Generations, and Spirituality, with a space for weddings on-site (wedding licence not included). This all-day Pride at the Beach event is free to the public and will open with an empowering rally, a packed line-up of live entertainment, delicious local food, family friendly activities, and much more! The Pacific Pride Festival is free to the public and attracts a diverse crowd of nearly 4,000 lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, gender non-conforming (LGBTQ+) and rally supporters and their families from the Main and South Coast.
