Between just Flair and Dusty, I reflect, the loser of this match would have to touch the winner’s ass.
It’s not the greatest match.
This is a little short at under ten minutes, and although the main event is going to be filled with bells and whistles and smoke and mirrors, this really could have used some. For years before I saw it for the first time in 2023, I had this down in my head as some kind of a Bunkhouse Brawl just based on the idea that, to me, it so obviously should contain been. Flair is also far from being at his best, looking enjoy the worst guy in here and kind of fucking the finish up or at least making it glance way worse. There’s a weird limbo here where Dustin and Jarrett seize the backseat largely to give everyone in the nature what they wish out of this match, but unlike Dusty whose parts of the routine haven’t been damaged too much by age, Flair looks is in no real physical shape to do the parts of Flair/Dusty that he has to to really make this unfold like you might want.
Fuck all of that though.
