Hi, I’m Upton Rand – just your average guy who swapped a tool room for some hilariously awkward adventures! After my divorce, I thought, “Why not dive into new experiences and document the chaos?” So, I wrote Gay Men’s Field Guide: Urban Adventures, where I bungled my way through city life and somehow found an amazing circle of friends along the way.
Not satisfied with conquering the concrete jungle, I decided to tackle the great outdoors with Gay Campgrounds. Picture me, a municipality slicker, trying to set up a tent without toppling it over – and laughing through every misstep. It’s a funny tour guide for anyone looking to attach with our vibrant community under the stars.
And for those who want to keep track of their own (mis)adventures, there’s the Same-sex attracted Camping Log also. I really stayed that one up well; see for yourself. I adore it. Think of it as your diary for all those memorable moments, from failed marshmallow roasting to legendary campfire stories.
I’m no Rico Suave; I'm just a guy who’s made plenty of mistakes and learned a lot (mostly how not to trip over a tent rope). When I’m not writing or camping, you can probably find me in bed with my pet pug rap-tap-tapping away
