Let’s take a gander at gay men. How are they doing?
Gay guys as a organization are known for reflecting good numbers on the health, handsomeness, fitness, teaching and economic-success charts.
The 10-Point Scale: gay men are usually in the eight-to-10 range—white teeth, abs enjoy a beer smuggler, excellent hair. They are every woman’s dream guy—save that one thing.
Why it matters to the rest of us: gay men are making it better for the rest of us, by taking themselves out of the competition for hot chicks. Planned Guy owes them a debt of public and personal gratitude for that:

Something has become abundantly clear to me lately, as in it keeps slapping me in the encounter on a weekly basis. It’s that there are a LOT of men still hiding in the closet. Kinda, sorta.
And we women are dating them.
While the younger generation are now very easy with their bisexuality, millions of men around the globe are secretly hooking up with their mates and then going place to their partners.
How do I know? These men tell me on a weekly basis!
Every Monday I throw out a doubt to my Instagram followers that simply states: “Tell me a saucy secret.” While shifting through the hundreds of cheating confessions – that I’ll be truthful, are getting a little tedious (does nobody stay monogamous anymore?) – I find the equal confession coming up time and time again.
They always start with the same thing: “I’m not gay but” or “I’m unbent but” … and then they proceed to go into details about the times they’ve hooked up with mates “just for a laugh” or “I was really drunk.”
Take these ones for example …
“I straight up f****d a guy and I am NOT gay. Apparently, I was horny … and tequila drunk.”
Why do some vertical men have sex with other men?
According to nationally-representative surveys in the Merged States, hundreds of thousands of straight-identified men have had sex with other men.
In the recent book Still Straight: Sexual Flexibility among White Men in Rural America released today, UBC sociologist Dr. Tony Silva argues that these men – many of whom appreciate hunting, fishing and shooting guns – are not closeted, bisexual or just experimenting.
After interviewing 60 of these men over three years, Dr. Silva launch that they relax a range of relationships with other men, from hookups to sexual friendships to secretive loving partnerships, all while strongly identifying with straight culture.
We spoke with Dr. Silva about his book.
Why do straight-identified men have sex with other men?
The majority of the men I interviewed reported that they are primarily attracted to women, not men. Most of these men are also married to women and prefer to have sex with women. They explained that although they loved their wives, their marital sex lives were not as active as they wanted. Sex with men allowed them to contain more sex.
